Tuning In: Radio and Tv Highlights
Welcome to my world of radio and television! From interviewing Australian music legends to promoting fresh, original tunes, it's been an incredible journey.
I highly recommend checking out the Wrokdown TV episodes. You can find them all on YouTube, or visit www.wrokdown.com and head to the 'series' section for a complete list with direct YouTube links. You'll get a real sense of my style and the artists I've championed.

Wrokdown TV from 2008
One thing I'll always cherish is having the opportunity to interview the legends of Australian music from the 60s to the 80s. It was an honour to hear their stories and share them with you all. Plus, I was passionate about promoting new original music and giving emerging artists a platform to shine.
Of course I couldn't have done it without Wendy Stapleton who interviewed all the guests, and Soozie Pinder who went out and interviewed touring artists at gigs.
These girls were the bomb! Not forgetting all the other wonderful music fans who dedicated their time to help.
And that was 8 years on and off filming and airing Wrokdown TV. Boy we had fun! All done on the smell of an oily rag.
Then we sort of ran out of legends. Over a 120 episodes aired, and countless extra interviews, I couldn't have been prouder.

Vids that Wrok
I took a few years off to do some songwriting and recording.
Then I had an idea. Channel 31 in Melbourne Australia - where Wrokdown started - were always pushing me to try something else.
What about a video show?
With the help of my techno friend Matthew, I set up a green screen studio in my garage, and I was off. First of all I found all the youtube video clips from the bands I'd been playing on the radio since 2008. After all, most of them had never had any media promotion. I slowly worked up to todays videos making sure every artist was repeated a few times, then youtube started putting copyright restrictions on downloads. So over 90 episodes later, that was the end of that.
But it's still being aired in the UK.

Wrokdown Radio
At the start of Wrokdown TV when I realised our Aussie legends were still writing songs with no media support, I headed off to my local community radio station Inner FM, who gave me a weekly spot straight away.
At that time it was hard to find new original local songs, so I added tracks from Universal distribution. I was amazed to find new material from our favourite international bands from the 60s onwards, and none of our commercial stations were playing them! As time went on, I added younger bands who played 'our' type of music, and now I get songs from all over the world.
It helps that my show was picked up by FCR in Plymouth UK, and is listed every week on Mixcloud where you can listen. https://www.mixcloud.com/ferndale-ctg/
